Oh, I love these! A white-ish egg would have been cool too. And, like, multiple eggs in the same nest.
I remember an old board game I still have and loved to play as a kid called Dragon Strike. It was made by TSR, the owners of D&D at the time. So, the game was a super-simple form of D&D with role playing and all. There was a dragons egg quest where the players went around the board looking for eggs a lot like this one.
Thanks for the reminder of fond memories!

Thank you!
I've never heard of Dragon Strike.Β Another cool-sounding thing that I missed out on growing up...LOL!Β Β I don't know why, but I've always had a fascination with eggs, especially in fantasy-related ways.Β
I've been toying with another set similar to this, but with black lava eggs (and multiple groupings!).Β I'll also see if I can come up with something in white.Β Maybe for an ice cave, with mounds of snow instead of dirt/rock...Β

man i know i will probably never use these, but i just had to download them and really look at them.
they are so impressive!
i was just about to ask you what you used to make them and then i finally saw it there at the bottom.
Poser is absolutely alien to me.
so wished i had the time to really invest myself in some of the apps i know very little about.
very cool work!

Oh!Β I thought your name looked familiar!Β I've used some of your textures several years ago in a couple pieces of artwork, and some texture work for Poser.Β

Thank you!
Do you make RPG maps?Β If you want to render objects for them, DAZ Studio is a free alternative to Poser.Β And there are thousands of freebies out there that work in both Poser and DAZ Studio, so lots to play with, at no cost!Β So if you find you just can't get the hang of it, at least you're not out any money.Β I've never used DAZ Studio myself (I've been using Poser for years and don't want to learn a new program - LOL!), but it should be easy enough to learn how to render single objects (as opposed to creating whole scenes/illustrations) for use in maps.Β Doesn't even need to be anything fancy...if you've got skills with an image editing program, you can just do a very basic render of the object and spruce it up in your image editor.Β
Here's the DAZ Studio link, if you'd like to check it out:
