head too small? eh.. probably XD but it's just a sketch..

I personnaly think (I'm no expert in the domain) that the head is about the right size. I think the shoulder is a little big though.

i don't think his head looks too small...and i i actually like this particular piece better in black and white.

The "sloppy" tones really add to the piece giving it a kind of Metal Gear Solid look.
Any tips on learning anatomy?

looks good. Head small? I like to draw the head small too, haha. Anyways, I think the head is good, that makes it stronger 
Drawings are deformed representations of the real world otherwise it would be boring
