Oh, gosh! Sorry to disappoint! Their story is on hiatus for now, but I can put up the roughs to give closure as to how their story would have proceeded originally.

A good alien story is so hard to find! The best one so far I can think about is Trying Human by Emi Britner! And all the other alien romances out there are either too glossed over for any substantial shipping, are not for the eyes of those who still live at home, or where the alien looks exactly human and you lose the appeal of an alienxhuman story!

I completely agree! Or the alien turns out to be human after all and was just abducted as a child. WHAT IS THE POINT? So silly. But Trying Human really is fabulous. Every character is interesting, not just the main, and her drawing style is just great. I've recently found another one but haven't read it yet so I won't recommend it here (just in case it ends up being super weird and I end up embarrassing myself XD).

Like I said, I haven't read it yet but the plot sounds intriguing and the author's art is lovely. He or she made some pretty neato alien designs, I think.

OMG! I've heard of it and I was an avid follower of it! I loved the alien designs because it was so refreshing and exotic, while still being visually appealing. However, I don't think she's updated in a while and so I choose to try and create my own stuff to satisfy my odd tastes rather than hope and wait. When I get really antsy, then I go prowling about for good alienxhuman fiction.
But if you haven't read it yet, I would recommend it to you because the writing is quite detailed and the artwork is very delightful to view. The details done in pencil crayon is just amazing.

Oh great! One of the worst things is when you get your hopes up about something and then it's a disappointment. So thanks for telling me it's worth the read! I'm afraid I don't have the the happy talent for art that you do, though, so all I can do is prowl for other people's work.

Truthfully, I get quite lazy about my own work sometimes and will just flash by it. I hardly have the time that I used to for drawings and so while I am satisfied with the end product nowadays, I'm not happy with it.
Nonetheless, if you ever find other works where there's an alien lover or a robot lover, and neither of them look human; message me!
In the meantime, I'm going to keep doing art to satisfy my strange tastes.

Psh, so modest. But, from my dealings from my artist friends, I think what you're feeling is pretty normal. Everybody is always dissatisfied with the art they make, no matter how gifted. And, again from my artist friends, I know that no manner of reassurance from anyone will persuade you that what you do is impressive. XD
Anyway, I'll send my recommendations to you if you return the favor! I love robot fiction (as well as alien) too and would be glad to be inundated with new stories to devour.

One robot lover web comic is Chester 5000 XYV that's about a Victorian housewife and the robot lover her scientist husband builds for her to... Ahem... Perform his marriage duties while he's working. It should be mentioned that this work is definitely NSFW!

Yeah, I agree. But that's probably what makes them reach greatness and keep pushing their limits.
Oh yeah! I loved that comic. Yeah, definitely NSFW but cool artwork and the story was fun too. Hey, are you just in to robot or alien fiction? Because there's a series I enjoy but has a non-human-looking goblin as one half of the main pairing. It's called Hollow Kingdom.

I'll read any fiction that seems interesting. For example, I might recommend Andrew Davidson's The Gargoyle. There's no interspecies romance, but it's one of my favourite novels to read.
I will say that I veer more towards aliens and robots. I don't know why, but the feelings are stronger. Though I'm not against humanxanthro romances or humanxmonster like Joann Sfar's The Professor's Daughter. I did look up Hollow Kingdom and it does seem very interesting; yet it's not my cup of tea. Thanks anyway!

I looked up the Gargoyle and it looks really good. I'll definitely grab it next time I'm at the library. And the Professor's Daughter looks like a hoot! I grabbed the sample on Amazon.com and that's definitely my cup of tea. Thanks!

I think that no matter what, people who do art will always be inclined to be more modest than they should be because there's always the knowledge that there's somebody better than them and they're never going to be happy until they make it with the greats. And even them, those who do make it will still be that way because they're constantly getting inspired and to be that receptor still has them think that they're "not good enough".

It's likely that you're not going to see the coloured comic for another year because I'm working on it(it has 12 chapters), but I'll still lost up little drawings or Aurora and Gray.

Oh I understand. School can be crazy (it's been months since I've updated my fanfic). The best we artists can do is post whenever possible though sometimes it irritates our watchers. Can't wait to see what is to come though

Yes, she does love him. The story is that she's loved him since she was in high school (she's in her late twenties now), but had met him when she was a child and accidently broke his window with a tennis ball.
So she loves him but here he is about to return to space. So what is she going to do next?

I'm glad you like his expression! I was originally going to draw him without a mouth as an expression technique but when I showed the draft to my friend, she asked, "Where's his mouth? How are they supposed to kiss without a mouth?!" And so for her, I added a mouth. Looks okay, then.
