Nice work. I think the grainy texture of the wood adds a lot to the earthy feel of the piece.

I really like the facial expression chosen for this. It's very kind and Gentle while at the same time mysterious and enthralling. The colors are also very lovely, truly a beautiful earth mother.

I really appreciate the comment. Sometimes I know how stuff will come out on the wood, sometimes they surprise me, and though I shouldn't toot my own horn (I don't want to come across as arrogant about my own art), this one surprised me. I like her, too.
