Keratin Jane again, one of my Nockers from the Changeling: The Dreaming RPG. I've never really played her table-top, so she's still in my head, but I love her dearly, and figured she deserves a character sheet, too. It's not as extensive as Brody's, mainly because the bits where I'd written on the right got messed up when I spilled tea on them. Ah, well. Poo.I left her living golem ball joint doll, Toi, out partly because he probably deserves his own character sheet, and mainly because I'm really freakin' lazy.

I don't have a computer at home-- I only have access at work, and then, only 30 mins a day, unless I come in early.... add to that, we don't have sound on these computers. Heheheh. I'll see it... someday.

Keratin's defined as: n. A tough, insoluble protein substance that is the chief structural constituent of hair, nails, horns, and hooves. So, in a way, that's what her masks are to her-- protection from the outside, emotional or otherwise. It's kind of a not-literal translation of the idea. Thank you so much for the compliment!

That mask on the top right makes her look like a Sidhe. And suddenly, it strikes me how...disorienting it must be to deal with her. You can never know what she looks like. For all intents and purposes, she doesn't really have a face. She's almost like a different person every time you run into her, wearing a different mask with all the emotions it evokes with its particular look. Not to mention her outfits... It's spooky, really, and damnably awesome. I'm seriously beginning to think she's one of the best characters I've ever heard of, not to mention the most stylish.
I wonder what her voice would sound like...

I am in love with her elaborate hair style on the left. Gooorgeous.
Her masks have to be the very best thing about her design. I love how the swirl patterns are different on every mask and how she actually has different masks for different expressions. Does she change them according to her moods, or does she just pick one in the morning and set herself as HAPPY or ANGRY for the entire day?
I didn't even know what a knocker was before I started obsessing over your art. Now I think they're seriously some of the neatest things ever.

That's... that's got to be the best idea ever for her, I think. Let me go and ask her how she sets her moods or picks her masks, and I'll be back to you.

The masks are just ones that she makes to cover the fact that she's mutilated underneath. I've got her history here somewhere in one of my rare journal entries. Create-a-thon, I think is the title of it. ANYWAY, she's got quite a few for different occasions and different moods. And ones that she likes to wear to scare and intimidate people. Heehee. She's got a four, I think, in intimidation.

I really love how this character's design has evolved though.. It looks loverly~ ^^ I especially like the ear caps for some reason, but then again I love ears. Just as long as she doesn't surplant Brody as your favorite nocker. :c
