The way this one turned out is all in the enlarger. Contrast filter 4 really makes it! (...I'd hate to see it in neutral, wouldn't you?)
Edit: went over the hands with overlay opacity 16%. A commenter had suggested that the hands be not so washed out

great photo. i love high contrast. i took a photo class last semester....and i always used like a 3.5-4 filter. i hated the class....cuz i thot the teacher sucked...but i did love doing high contrast work. and this piece looks fantastic. nice composition and angle.

okay this shot is great! the background couch pattern against the shirt she is wearing - that contrast is amazing and really adds to this picture. i like the pose you took her in to and how you placed her within your picture.

Wow! I'm glad someone got that impression from this photo, because Chaplin's one of my favorite actors. Many people have said that she looks a lot like a mime here. I myself have referred to this one as "the mime-looking one over there..." when pointing it out in my photography class.
