Then it's a lost cause that doesn't warrant the effort you're putting into it, and it becomes a waste of time for everyone involved. Just shift your attention to something you actually like.
And I get it if you might think it's a better way to get his attention or something, but there's a difference between brutal honesty and insubstantial complaining. If the former doesn't achieve anything, the latter absolutely won't.
