I remember Return of Nazo! I loved that short, funny thing i actually saw it before Nazo Unleashed so I was confused but enjoyed it anyway!

I remember that. And to be frank, concept was good, but because Chakra wasn't the one behind it, the whole Sequel just felt flat. I mean very damn flat that it was clearly not what we were hoping for in a follow-up. Thankfully Chakra doing his sequel will probably be perfect.

Dialogue was very fanficy and poor(to be fair I'm willing to go the easiest on since making original dialogue after how the original animation handled things was a tricky task). Sonic and Shadow fusing only in their basic super forms diminished the impact of their first time while they were in hyper form from super emeralds. No build up to them being able to do it at any form so the idea itself which could have been a cool twist now feels more like an ass-pull. And the fighting is just piss poor. Its the dbz effect with them throwing the same punches and doges over again only that's 90% of the entire action. And the pacing of it all felt rushed too.
It just sucked for me. I didn't feel this was the continuation, I felt the entire time this was someones attempt at a continuation. Like those Super Mario Bros. Z ep 9 fanmade episodes. Drastic decrease in quality on all fronts, poor dialogue, lack of polish with plot and pacing, just a mess altogether.
Apologies for the harsh critique but I rarely sugar coat things. Besides I couldn't animate that even that on my own if I tried.

Well, I mean, I've always thought as long as they had access to Chaos energy they could fuse in any form. Chakra-X even gave Super Shadic a design.
As for the other things you've mentioned... there wasn't really much I could have done about that, but I respect your opinions.
