an edit of my last Metal Sonic with new effects as to make him the illusion version created by Infinite and the Phantom RubyI don't really understand why Eggman didn't use an actual metal sonic... guess he was just in a pinch for time

Well we never knew what happened to Metal Sonic in the canon timeline (His last appearance being Heroes), so it wouldn't be unreasonable to create a copy instead of risking another rebellious robot.
