Description
Our last Star Wars RPG (old West End Games D6 version) was a turning point. We had escaped a bounty hunter ambush and the Imperial task force that hired them. We made our way to a busy world to hide in their bustling starport while we took on supplies, but were found out and we did a major bluff-job on a Star Destroyer long enough for us to get away. After that we received a message from the Rebellion. They had just destroyed a massive superweapon, one responsible for the total destruction of the planet Alderaan (which had just happened so we hadn't heard as yet). The Empire was out for revenge and forces were everywhere, hunting down anyone suspected to be a Rebel. YT-1300 freighters like the Millennium Falcon were destroyed on sight without warning. Our orders were to flee to the Brak Sector... a backwater on the rim, with a small Imperial presence but cut off enough that it would be some time before they hear about the destruction of the Death Star. There is a small Rebel base there where we can hide, but we have a chance to spread the word and recruit a significant Rebel presence in a relatively unimportant part of space. To that end this is a little scene we may consider doing in a future session. Closer to the core our ship and crew has quite the Imperial bounty on it's head, but here we can afford to be anonymous.. which perhaps will give us the opportunity to do a bit of infiltration/espionage.
Our engineer, Tam Tam Sei, wearing a spaceworthy set of power armor drifted small and unseen to the orbital Imperial outpost. There, crawling along the superstructure, he tapped into their communication feeds and affixed a small listening device and transmitter to the bulkhead outside of the Imperial Commander's office. Meanwhile, on the other side of the glass, two of our crew are posing as rich nobles from coreward, making a stop at the local Imperial outpost for a taste of civilization in this accursed backwater. Our ship's Captain, the lovely Twi'lek Kinsa'Eyan knows how to beguile and manipulate the arrogant, so she will keep them distracted while Davian Angelos, Jedi, uses his skills of flattery and 'conversation' on the weak-minded commanders to find out about their strengths and ship movements. As backup Davian's surveillance droid, Shadow, masquerades as a serving bot providing drinks (as well as Davian's lightsaber hiding in plain sight.... just in case
