Description "What do you mean you failed to capture a simple group of rebels. You had overwhelming force and the element of surprise and now you tell me that not only did you fail, they crippled our cruiser and killed our captured nearly the entire force? Oh yes. A Jedi. A Jedi versus all of you. Seems you handful were most lucky to escape alive.  Like you say, there was nothing you could have done. Now, the rest of you... where are they? Seems I'll have to deal with them myself...."

While I was tinkering with art and this all fresh in my mind I pictured the half dozen or so mercenaries on their support freighter limping back to base where they have to break the news to their mercenary commander.  Of course when I showed this to our GM he immediately claimed it so we can meet up with this badass at a later date, but I guess we'll deal with that when it happens (I know that's a droid fighter from the prequels or whatever (which I detest) but the design isn't bad, so I think of it like a classic car he's refurbished and modified for his own use.)

What led up to this pic was rather epic and I hope to illustrate a few memorable scenes from it.  The crew of the Risky Lady went to meet an underworld contact with valuable information for the Rebels.  We were ambushed by assault droids and mercenaries in gold combat armor.  Apparently called the "Golden Legion" they were very well equipped and there were a lot of them....all told it was about fifty vs our four.  As we fought our way to our ship through the spaceport their patrol cruiser took up position behind our ship, guns trained.  We had droids on board our ship, including an assault droid of our own, but they overwhelmed them and captured the Lady.  Meanwhile though two of us were severely wounded, we had made it to the roof of the spaceport and traveled under cover towards our ship while airspeeders patrolled overhead looking for us.  Looked like one of those hopeless situations and our GM was all ready for us to surrender, get captured or die.    Time to get creative

We have four characters:  A Mon Calamari doctor (definitely not a fighter), my ship captain, Kinsa, my engineer/pilot Tam Tam, and our Jedi Davian.  Tam Tam set up a diagnostic routine on his repair interface while we waited for an airspeeder to wander close to us.  At the right time, Davian reached out with the Force in a very literal sense.  Using telekinesis he grabbed the speeder long enough for Tam Tam to fire his wrist grapnel and draw himself up to the craft.  The pilot and gunner looked on with surprise as Tam Tam plugged his interface into the speeder's repair diagnostic port... and test-fired the ejector system  Pilot and gunner now drifting off in their seats via parachute, Tam Tam leapt into the speeder and took the fight to them.   He had to fly the speeder without a seat and though the doc had patched him up he was still wounded, but over several adventures he had built up an impressive amount of Force Points.  Spend on and it doubles the dice you use on all rolls for a complete turn.  Fueled by the Force he turned on the other unsuspecting speeders and crippled three of them in a short dogfight.  Meanwhile the doc hid with Kinsa, who was hurt quite badly, while Davian made his way to the edge of the roof near our ships.  Using more telekinesis to cushion his fall he dropped from the roof and raced to his fighter as mercenaries on the ground tried to stop him.  Deflecting shots with his lightsaber along the way he reached his fighter... an old, but quite effective R-41 Starchaser.  Doing a quick 360 he fired at assault droids and troops, before turning to face the patrol cruiser itself.  The Starchaser carries not only blasters, but Ion Cannons which wreak havoc on electronic system.  Davian fired several shots point blank into the parked cruiser, eventually crippling its systems.   Meanwhile Tam Tam had escaped the dogfight with the airspeeders and flew down into the hanger, nearly skidding to a halt as he leapt from the cockpit and into his pride and joy: a custom built Z-95 Headhunter.  Even wounded, Tam Tam was now in his element and rocketed out of the hangar, firing his rear-mounted concussion missile into the engines of the mercenary's patrol cruiser, further crippling it.  Airspeeders were not match for fighters and while Davian made short work of those Tam Tam strafed a second ship commanded by the mercenaries farther off as it attempted to take off.  That ship escaped while Tam Tam turned back to aid Davian.  So against all odds we escaped the ambush and have a troop of mercenaries and prisoners (not to mention I'm sure a ship full of specialty gear to compensate us for the ordeal.  In all fairness if we didn't have the Force Points we wouldn't stand a chance.  Tam Tam spend an unheard of 6 points or more and Davian cashed in nearly that much.  Of course Tam Tam using the Force that much in this encounter I'm sure caught the attention of Jedi Davian.  Tam Tam is Force-sensitive, but not trained in any way... but after this that might just change...

Some art of those involved ^_^ :

yah was epic and insane and literally thanks to the Force ( and spending a majority of our points) we were able to pull it off    Those are fun characters indeed.  I had a scout that ended up becoming a Jedi back when we played years ago, but that was the only one I had.   Tam Tam here is very force sensitive and we'll explore that but I don't see him going the Jedi route (though who knows).   It'd be interesting to explore him using the force in other ways... aiding in his skills and such.

Looks pretty awesome! I love the armor and the coloring. Sounds like a fun time is had during gaming time! Sounds like it is a lot more fun than just playing video games

Thanks very much  The ship model I got (a very nice freebie-with-purchase  freedom-of-art.ucoz.com/publ/f… ) but was rather rainbow colored.  So I was toying with the textures and remembering the last game and made it to match.... which made me add the tough guy, coloring him to match, and it developed from there   Yah doing the tabletop RPGs are really fun... some parameters to stay within but essentially improv acting, communal storytelling.  Can do whatever you want, really  Can't do that in video games (however fun).  And of course there will be repercussions to the game... if our DM takes this guy and runs with him I'm sure he'll be quite the thorn in our side... but of course we have all sorts of things to deal with as well... interrogating the mercs we captured.  Repairing our ship... explaining to the Rebel command what just happened and all that.  We're playing the game set in around the time of Rogue One or so.  Plenty of intrigue and situations for us to get into trouble
