Description
We all know how it is. After several hours of travel one needs to just find a rest stop, pull over and relax for a bit. Have a stretch, take a bit of a rest. While I was working on Version 1 I saw the new, totally awesome Desert Outpost by Stonemason. I had prepared just to drop a background pic behind the bikes (which I did for Version 1) but after seeing the set I knew I had to redo it, rendering both bikes and outpost together. Let it cook for several hours while I was at work. If I do say so myself, I think it was definitely worth the extra wait

The bikes stand out better in version one, I think, but Outpost does looks superb.

Agreed, and also something you can't tell on the first one since I rendered them alone and spliced them into a background pic. There's some reflectivity on the bikes. They blend in more with the outpost because there's reflections of the rock and terrain across their chassis

I think that both version are equally great although with different stories: the first gives exactly the right feeling after a long travel indicated by the rather empty space behind them, at the end of the day. With that splendid background, they are giving the impression that the break is over and it's time to go, IMO.
And I love both versions, of course

Yah I know what you mean. The 2nd I kind of see as they just got there or are about to head out. Glad you enjoy both styles

AND HOW!?
This revised version is even better than the first. That Stonemason is a top prop cop!
Seriously awesome sci-fi render buddy! Cooked to perfection; neither underdone or burnt to a crisp.

Thanks very much Done to turn and ready to serve
Good reward for letting it cook all evening
Looking forward to really exploring the Stonemason set... especially since elements of it are individual props so I can mix and match and use in different scenes and settings
