(In the Langston Universe)Stardate 2283.4, The Constitution starships were getting on in years so Starfleet took one unfinished Constitution class/Enterprise subclass starship and modded it with the Bottom piece from the Tristen class starship and modded the Torpedo launcher housing from the main ship they used to make this new ship. So on Stardate 2283.5 the new Highwind subclass was born with the USS Highwind NCC-1997 and subsequent starships to be built.
