Here's the first WIP on a new piece I'm working on, an Avatar of Khaine duking it out with a Keeper of Secrets!
The original composition and sketch for this piece was trash, so here is the redo (so far). It's still pretty rough around both characters' legs and the avatar is far from done. Also, there's no background....yet.
My goal is to get this done before the 3rd so I can submit it in my portfolio for the directory of illustration, but we'll see how that pans out.

Loving this. Definately more dynamic than the original sketch. I'm also happy to see the older style Deamon design, never was a fan of the new Deamonattes or the direction GW went with demons.

One thing, annd please tell me to shh if you don't agree but the hand in front of Avatar of Khaine, could that not instead be reaching back holding the grip of the sword as if to show that he is about to swing the blade up into the Keeper of Secrets? Instead of the hand left idle infront of him ? Just a suggestion.

I love this composition then the original because it engages the viewer more and is my dynamic, im excited to see the next render. Are you going the video record this one and narrate?

That's a really interesting take on the Keeper of Secrets. I am looking forward to the other stages in this piece, especially when you add the flames to the Avatar. Any hints as to what the setting will be

Thanks! One cool thing on the greater daemons is they all look slightly different- I've seen keepers who look like weird cone heads, bulls, chicks, faces missing some features (nose), etc.
No clue about the background. I'm thinking maybe a ruined craftworld or possibly a craftworld as it's sucked into the warp.
