Description
And now we come to the end of the semester...the last assignment for Shanth Enjeti's 'Character Creation': Take and tweak two of your previous designs and place the two characters in an environment. This felt SO GOOD. I am SO excited to be doing full pieces again, I can't even tell you. It's been so long just doing head-on characters that I have really been longing to get my teeth into something more compositional and narrative. (Next semester will rock for those reasons). Anyways, I'm really pleased with how this came out...it was a long fight to get it there through the conceptual sketch phase (up on my blog: [link] ) But I'm really happy with the outcome. I happen to like it with the text (slapping that title on at the very end was extremely satisfying), but a textless version will be up on my blog as well! I'm not sure what the future holds for Kojo, besides punching monsters naturally, but I really hope y'all enjoy this piece! I will miss this class dearly...Related content

This is great! I love monsters that defy the expected dimensions, number of limbs (if any) and appendages!

Wild! I like the contrast between clumps of detail and expanses of form, in the creature and the composition.

Oh, wow. I wish I were feeling a little more articulate so that I could tell you why and how much I like this, but I'm not, so I'll settle with wow wow wow wow wow wow. That monster's mouth is also fascinating to stare at and try to figure out.

I like the changes you made to Kojo and the baby! The yellow helps them show up better, the shape of the braids is more interesting, and the baby's tattoo is very cute!

Man, I'm kinda getting Shadow of the Colossus flashbacks from this. What with the cool plain and tiny guy vs. huge frickin monster! thing. Awesome.
and ugh. Cause the nipplebeast reminds me of the Pale Man and I don't need THOSE particular nightmares again....
(P.S. how do his tiny stick-arms hold up those rock/shield/fist things?!?)

i like the little bits piercing his various bodyparts
its funny, i dont really think of them as nipples... it seems more like small secondary appendages...
but i love the scenery and mood of this picture... though the style clearly says "japanese" i also am reminded of french country sides in the early morning with the mist overtaking everything
this is awesome!

amazing and beautiful- I can really sense the great moment you described, of finally getting to do this narrative piece and even have the text on it- so official! I love those designs, the line work is so fluid. Awesome!
