There's nothing very original about it, so I can't claim to have thought of it 'first' though. It's just about trying to interpret well trodden ground through your own eyes. That's all any of us can do after centures of great artists and writers have gone before - try and put a new twist on it.

I really like the perspective you drew this from, looking down as if we're overhearing a conversation, which of course is the intention and the title. The tomb/crypt look so spooky, certainly no place anyone in their right mind would want to enter, and the Stone skeletons add to it's the overall creepiness. The tall bald fellow appears 'simple' perhaps or maybe he's just puzzled. Regardless, the highly detailed atmosphere and effect you have created is simply amazing. Wonderful work. Congrats on the DD.

The whole piece is amazing, not only the design or the colors, but the athmosphere and the characters...
However, the detail I liked the most it's the great skeleton in over the door. scary!!!!

You have an excellent level of attention to detail in everything from the smallest leaves to the main entrance of the mausoleum. Also, your choice of colors and subject matter give me the sense that this scene is taking place during the middle of autumn. Awesome job!

Very creepy, and very intriguing. I'm assuming some dumb kid ran in "cuz it's scary!" Even the brighter colors are muted. It doesn't seem like a very nice place.
Actually, this kind of reminds me of a Lovecraft story, where the protagonist enters his ancestor's tomb and is transported to his ancestor's time.
