Pretty cool! I like the break in the composition and how the photo of the flames and then the eyes don't really have much in common, yet they serve as a great balance. Really like the eyes and how there's such deep emotion and full of color with the reflection. Kinda wish the eyes were more focused and a little darker to suit the mood a little better.

Yeah, this is a common criticism. I think I may end up either re-doing this piece or scrap-ing it. I have since discovered the continuous scan focus function on my mums camera that I used, so next time my eyes will be in focus haha.

The placement of the pictures on this collage is excellent. It's really well balanced, the eyes in the middle seem to fit very well, not as if they've been squeezed in or sandwiched by the other pieces but more like a bridge between them. It's a really excellent arrangement, and it would work so well as a card, or something small and attractive. You could start up your own card business with this formula! Great cropping compliments this too.
I like the contrast between the abstract sections and the more obvious eyes, this contrast really brings the viewer into the eyes, and not to mention it creates some nice changes in texture between the three frames.
Here is some critique, just some suggestions as to what you might want to do next, or what could be improved:
First off, the abstract shapes at the top and the bottom seem too dissimilar in solour and clarity to be viewed as one. Try and touch up the colours in the bottom one, to get more of a similarity to the top one. Up the contrast on the flames and add a bit more purple to try and get it closer.
Technically the eyes aren't perfect, they are out of focus, and the black creeping in on the far right of the shot really destroys the compact feeling of the piece, and that hole sort of deflates the piece a little. You could crop the whole thing off a little to the left to eliminate that problem, but then again it may impact on the abstract shapes. Give it a go though!

Anyways you shouldn't have wasted so much time on this deviation, it probably took you longer to write than it did for me to make this! I have a nikon D70s and a remote will trigger the camera to take the photo when prompted. I can't wait to get my!

Was going to crit your choice if images but you said it was random which kinda spoils it. Thow I think it works well its essentialy a fluke

I had a bit of spare time and got some images which wouldnt work as a single deviation and mixed and matched... and about the eyes, you're right; im shit at taking pictures of myself its a bit hit and miss since im not behind the camera you know? that avatar of your eye is great though. I used manual focus for mine maybe i should use automatic next time...
anyways i dont think this is the greatest thing in the world i even think its a bit shit and egotistical using mine own eyes, but i hadnt posted anything in a while. I have some film which ill finish off and get it developed i think i have some good shots on there.
