Another Birthday cake for one of moms coworkers. This time we did sort of a hunter theme. Mom had a sudden idea right as she was coming to pick it up to put brown sugar around the bottom because it bothered her to not have a border. Glad she thought of that in time because I was able to get most of it done and put some deer tracks (barely visable in pic) in front and take some pics before she came home. Do wish we were able to get the camouflage background to work but when it failed miserably we were able to at least salvage the fondant into a tie-dye effect.Related content

I think the marbling of the fondant works, the camo might have been distracting, now it mixes the camo colours into a nice wood-grain effect, which still works for a forest hunter :3 Love the cattails too!

Oh yes I agree. Its just that we actually had an entirely different design planned out that really look neat, but nothing was going right, we ran out of time and I was sleep deprived, I don't plan on doing another hunting cake, but if I do maybe I will go back to that original design and actually get things made ahead of time, and enough sleep too...
