*Edit: o.k. so I revisited this one, I originally wanted a more dynamic background, so I added some hell-like burning chaos, and fiery eyes etc. now I can say it'll do.Whilst looking for a decent title to paint I came across the mini competition 'Creatures of the week' run by the group Creature Lovers the current theme is: Hellhounds, which seemed like a fun little project.
overall, I've got mixed feelings about the finished piece, but I don't want to play with it for hours, so as a quickish concept, it's done.... *Edit: o.k. so I revisited this one, I originally wanted a more dynamic background, so I added some hell-like burning chaos, and fiery eyes etc. now I can say it'll do.

The flames in the eyes and throat just make it! Can it spit fire?
And the background is exceptional! I love all the flying bits and sparks!

I love the gold lines and the red reflections on the body! the design is cool too! his could be hellboy's pet right away! it could play fetch with the heads of the sinners or something!

Originally I made a rough sculpture in Sculptris, but I wasn't happy with it at all, so I brought that into Photoshop and ended up with something completely different
