So is this going to be set in the Actual WWII 1941? Or is it going to be a more a world of your own creation based upon that era like say ... the post "Great War" story of Disney's Tail Spin?

Its set during actual WW2, though rather than being about the Allies vs Axis conflict, that all serves as a backdrop to Jackie's adventures and struggles against a mysterious arms dealer who is playing both sides of the war for their own benefit.

And was Tail Spin one of the inspirations for this upcoming work?

Planning on doing it as a comic.
Tailspin has got to be one of my favorite shows as a kid. I honestly didn't think too much about it when I came up with Jackie, but it'll be good to look back at once I get things moving along!
