"Through the Window" (Q3 2018)

Finally I can present you the first image taken on my last trip. insta.philipp.lutz and I were travelling through the Rockies and the desert of #Utah for a two week period. During our stay we faced weird weather conditions due to the remnants of a severe hurricane drifting in from the south. We got rained in in the desert for days, same in the Rockies and we got hailed in, snowed in and even fogged in. All in all it was a very harsh experience and a humbling one, seeing as even in places where the weather is usually pretty consistent you can get pretty difficult conditions to work with. Now, of course it wasn't all bad, otherwise I wouldn't be able to post this. After 2 days of rain and a morning of fog in Utah, Phil and I finally got one morning of clear skies which allowed me to take this shot of some of the more famous rock formations in Arches National Park at dawn. Rather than waiting for the sun to shine directly on the arch I went with a blue hour shot, simply because the light, also because of my trusty HaidaFilter CPL were simply magical. I didn't have to edit this shot other than a little bit of clean up. Sadly by the time the light was really nice there were two tourists roaming around the arch which I had to edit out. Other than that some minor contrast adjustments and viola!

Achieved as per usual with HaidaFilter and FLM_foto tripod - in this case the new CP 34 Prototype!
