Your work is nicely done. I do not know much about water colors or how they are done, but I would imagine this is what it is meant to look like. The colors used give this a dream like quality that I have an admiration for. At he same time it hold a realistic sense, too. I love sketching art. Your sketching and water colors together look very well together. I never heard of Parc des Buttes before, but I feel at home in this piece of art. I have nothing bad to say about it or I think needs improvement.

overall this is a beautiful piece of art. I like it because of the dreamlike aspect and the lighting works. It's a peaceful one and that means it has a lot of value. It looks very professional and has that glow everyone is looking for. It's pretty original and there are few things I would change about it. For a watercolor it's very good. But it has little meaning to me and seems like the theme is not super original. There's no edge. So for my next one I would change the tune a bit then revert back to your same style. It's good to have a bunch of pieces that are thought provoking and some that are for beauty and calm.

The colors are beautiful. I love the style of drawing on here. Its amazing. My only question is if you used a vanishing point. Without or without its does not matter. Its truly beautiful. The shading is great. Everything looks about right. I have no complaints. Any advice I would share is to make everything proportional, use a vanishing point. Maybe you have one and I can't see it but it's hard to tell. Overall everything is good. The detailing and everything is perfect. Thank you for having me critique your work. If you need anything else just ask me.

The first word that Came to mind when I saw this image was luminous. The richness of the dark purples and blues for shadow enhances the soft warmth of the areas of pink and orange - thanks to some very judicious white highlighting the bold palette doesn't detract or create a smoky, dank feel. The wash effect is a clever decision - the soft reflections of structures and people create a superbly endearing image. As for details, the fine, different coloured and textured lines create a very appealing contrast that draw you in to the space without ever becoming too scribbly or overworked. The simple subject matter is sweet and understated. You've captured real, soft romance and charm here - and it is your subtle, lightly impressionistic style choice that makes this piece memorable. Love it - I recently went to this park and this is something of the memory I have for it. There were however Artists around that did similar things to this, but not as deftly or sweetly so originality maybe not as high but as a piece an overall success!

The first moment that I saw this painting, the first word that popped in my mind was 'WOW.' (The second was 'pink!') The design is a very calming one, one that someone can stare at for a while, and not get bored with, as a monochromatic watercolor, it is much better than anything I could ever hope to make, and I congratulate the artist. As a stand-alone painting, it is very good, V4=good way to look at a usual scene through new eyes O4.5=As far as I know, I've not seen a lot of paintings like this one (but I have seen some) T5=It's in watercolor! I4=Its wow factor. Overall, this is a very enjoyable painting to be added to a list of other great paintings!a.deviantart.net/avatars/c/l/c⦠" alt=" " title="clapplz" />

I love the vision of this artwork. I can see a different world here with watercolors spreading through and expanding into the picture. The scenery is stunning and reminds of a Japanese theme but it's different. The colors make me feel that I'm home in a way with the red and pink overpowering the painting. The painting makes me feel like I'm looking at a memory of someone who was walking down this path. A person wanting to remember the good times of a peaceful place. This painting has that vision of someone's memory of a beautiful place. Good work, nicolasjolly.

This is a very nice piece. The hues go well together creating a cool and calm feeling to the picture. The unique flow of the lines create good visual depth and balance. My eyes flowed smoothly through out the scene with out much questioning to what is going on. I enjoy how you make a nice focus point by using sharper detail around the building and the people figures. The characters and the building create a nice story that allows the viewer to let their imagination run while about what is going on around the bend or off in the foggy forest. I really enjoy this piece and love the whole style. Great work.

It seems as though the painting has itself been left out in the rain which greatly and I believe positively adds to the overall feeling of the piece. The colors come together quite nicely. The inking adds the tiniest details only where needed - even the figures in the foreground are gestures as if blurred by mist or rain. Because the building is leaning to the left and because of the crookedness of the vertical lines creating the lamp posts- especially the closest, I feel unstable while looking in on this scene until my eyes reach the couple in the center. One figure seems to raise an umbrella for another and this simple gesture along with the glow of the lamps gives warmth to an otherwise cold night.

I must say, your paintings are a real revelation. I chose to comment on this one, because I love autumn and have rarely seen a painting that just carries the felling of what autumn is for me so sincerely. Thank you once again for the favorite, it's really an honor.

Amazing! How is it possible that there is depth in the piece yet I somehow, simultaneously perceive the street to be solid?
There is so much going on in this seemingly modest piece. A lot of thoughts coming to mind. I'm especially intrigued about those characters(the man&the lady under the umbrella), I find them rather curious...I wonder? Could they be apparitions?Β Β Or maybe your work is just getting the better of my overactive imagination?Β Β

I love this one. Somehow the colouring gives it the effect of 2 worlds/layers like someone watching the figures but not really feeling a part of it.
