I didn't either until one of my deviations got dumped to scraps by the vector GD because it was a vexel and not a vector lol!! Then I learned the difference ^^

yes,i know its very hard work...I depend on Illustrator Live Trace/live Paint for vectorizing.Time-saving but its like 0% contribution from my part.So can't post any of those stuff here.lol

well not much of hard work more like lots of patience- after all its just join the dots lol although that doesnt always work- had to make so many corrections.. my pcs too slow for illustrator

how much RAM you got?tried changing the scratch disk from "startup " to any drive with plenty of free space,in The preferences settings?males a lot of difference....

I dont know how much but apparently not enough to install illustrator :/ I have the software and everything just not enough RAM..

smileys appear at the wrong places
open Illustrator..goto EDIT>; Preferences> Plugins & Scratch Disks> under Scratch Disks change ' primary' and 'secondary' from 'startup' to C:, D:, E: or whatever drive partition you have...chose the ones with the most free space.but make sure not to chose the same drive for primary and secondary.then press ok.exit and restart illustrator.
you can do the same thing with photoshop
