I mess with the density levels of the airbrush a lot, I really just sort of bend it to however I need it for a specific part.
For example: Step five I would use the airbrush at a higher density than I would in step 6, where I'd use very low density.

Pretty helpful, I always did wonder how you got the hair in your drawings to look like that. Definitely a trick I'd like to try out.

Hmm.. did you stack on the same mane colors? Or did you choose a darker shade for multiply and lighter for luminosity? It seems if you layer on the same colors, it creates a darker.. yet more contrasted shade of the same color. It seems to work for some shades, but not all..

It may seem like it's so much to do, but in the end, it's worth it... -u-
And I probably won't get tired of trying to do this, I'm a photoshop addict now, & it's only been a couple days... o_o

It's definitely work, but when used in the right way, it very affective! There have been times where I spend over an hour painting hair.
