Description
...Yeah, wasn't sure what category to put this in, and figured 'surreal' would have to do, as one normally doesn't see stars hangin' from trees on fish-hooks.Lineart done back in... oh, I dunno... October? November? Whenever it was that I visited Canton High. I couldn't color this satisfactorily until now, and even still I have an issue with it- I don't really know what it is, but there's somethign with the colors themselves... but I figure, that's as good as it's going to get for now. I'm happy with the glowies, anyway. Open to suggestions, I can still fix this.
I did a bunch of these trees-with-things-hangning-off-them in the fall, but only a few came out nice. This one's my favourite.
Aye.
image is (c) me, duh.

You know, I never get it how I mangage to forget to comment on and favorite so many of your things. Just remembered this in college writing today, actually, and used it for a bit of reference for art class. This picture is really cool, I love the idea, and you draw things so much better than I do, even if this is old.
Great work.

Heh, many thanks. I do that too, the overlooking of pieces, and then usually I go back like you do. So it's cool.

Umm, i wouldn't be able to tell a way to improve this, i believe the shadows and shines are perfectly done.
I can see why it's one of your favorite, i find it quite relaxing myself, you can get a feeling of peace, but at the same time of deep little sad reflexion (if that makes any sense at all )
This is a sure

Aye, digital.
I scanned the original sketch in, then re-lined and colored in Photoshop 5.

Hee, thanks. I rarely draw humans 'cause I'm terrible at the faces. I can do anthros all right, just not humans- DAMN eyebrow ridges and noses and mouths. So when I do draw humans, their faces are rather ...eh, unfinished. Like this!

It's rather good ^_^ :claps: I love looking at your work because it's all wonderful, that's just the first time I notices a human.

quite the peaceful piece. i like juxtapostion of the initial simplicity and the further detail/complexity once you look at it a little more.
good work!

Kind of reminds me of works by
The mushrooms are so cute! You draw trees very well. Usually when people stylise trees they end up looking really awkward. What I find a little strange, though, is that you have scratchy lines in the sky (sorry if that makes no sense), but not in the top right corner?

Thanks. I've been practicing.
Oh, scratchy lines. I left the original pencil lineart in, so that will account for that.
