Dazzling as with all your others. I envy your talent for composition, light, form and strong understanding of canine anatomy. I am thoroughly impressed with all your works here and look forward, truly, to seeing more. Bravo to you!

u must spend a lot of time around animals cuz even tho it's a bit long in the snout, tis an amazing piece, with great shading and all that...the skull structure, especially...the way the eyes are set in the cranium, and the movement of the ears...all wickedly good.

Yeah I spend a ton of time around dogs and when I do, I naturally observe their movements and behavior and the like which helps lotsly in drawing them. Thankses

Yeah I'm not really a huge fan of cropping or docking myself but I do like the way their ears sorta splay like that when they put them back so I decided to draw them like that.

wonderful and a good reminder I should start doing some serious studies of animals. I truely do not draw one type of animal enough and it shows.

You should see me try to draw something non-mammalian.... Usually ends up pretty frightening considering I never practice them.

No reference? *is jealous* I don't think I've ever been able to draw anything without using some sort of reference. *idolizes* You must've practiced drawing lots of different dogs to be able to be comfortable to draw them without a ref. Dang, this really does look like it came straight from a photograph. There's so much detail here, especially in the eyes, muzzle, ears, and fur. For me to create something like this would've taken days, even weeks. You're an amazing and talented artist, that's for sure. Such a beautiful sketch. Doberman's are one of my favorite breed of dogs. You captured the beauty of this breed perfectly.

Yeah practice is definitely the key word here, I've been drawing dogs ever since......well.....forever And I study different breeds a lot and then try to draw them. I usually end up doing this in school....which probably isnt a good thing...but meh, it's fun
