Tried to make this look vintage ...
Enjoy.

Update: Oh god, first image I moved to Scraps afterwards. I don't think it's too good for my gallery.

Don't think you're a freak! The set up is nice, it's very cute.
The kinds of breads, cheese, etc. that you have there make
it look appealing. Like, if all you had was a bag of Wonderbread,
Black Diamond cheese... basically all brand name stuff it
wouldn't look as authentic, lovely and vintage.

Awww you're welcome! Oh and did you
purposely spell it "breakfeast" or did you
mean "breakfast"?

NikolasBrummer In reply to ContagiousPixie [2011-07-13 04:15:24 +0000 UTC]

no way. oh god, what's wrong with me? I don't know, I have been writing "breakfeast" since I started to learn englisb but no one ever corrected me ... haha. Thanks for pointing it out!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ContagiousPixie In reply to NikolasBrummer [2011-07-13 12:48:18 +0000 UTC]

Aww it's ok! When I was young I think I spelled it "breakfest"
because it made more sense than breakfast. (just like
how I called napkins mapkins, don't know why but it made more
sense to me. same with nest and mest.) No worries,
ending it with feast makes more sense than fast. Well, I
guess depending on how much you eat.

Yeah, maybe breakfeast is british english? I don't know. It also took me some time to write "I" big when I started to learn it. Well, after all, English is really easy to learn.

Also, I wonder, did Dallas ever have an avatar that looked like the one I have right now? It somehow reminded me of him and now I don't want to copy him or something, lol.

Haha, no I don't think so. Canadians tend to use British spelling
and naming of things so I don't think so. Pssh that would be
the fault of all the lazy asses on the internet. I mean,
sometimes I don't, but it depends on my mood. So many people
say that but I've never understood how! I mean we have so many
rules, so many stupid ones and ones that are easily broken like
"i before e except after c"... well weird obviously breaks that!
Then the different "there's" there, their and they're. I never had
a hard time with them... but I know of English speakers that STILL
have trouble. *facepalm*

Oh he probably did, but everyone has! Haha don't worry, having an
avatar that shows the lower half of your face is a common thing. I
had one too for a while. So no worries! (now it's the upper half, lol)

I just don't like those people who type u or r or your instead of you're.
It's not thaaaat hard.

I'm glad then!

Mhmm and you wouldn't believe how many people would spell it as
your instead of you're! Seriously, they'll say something like "Your such
a nice person" and... ooooohhh I want to set them straight!!! People
have horrible grammar here! Ugh I remember in my English class we
had done a "row essay" where each person in the row of desks wrote
a paragraph to an essay and I was at the back so I had to tie all their
thoughts up together for the concluding paragraph, but anyways when
we went over them and fixed up mistakes I was circling and rewriting
soooo much of their stuff (it was absolutely ridiculous! especially the
first girl... MY GOD. Your spelling/grammar/etc. is 10x better than hers!!
And her first language is English!!) and then when they went over mine...
they added in a comma... an unnecessary comma.

Oops... rant!

NikolasBrummer In reply to ContagiousPixie [2011-07-17 17:59:41 +0000 UTC]

"Your spelling/grammar/etc. is 10x better than hers!! " that sounds like my english is bad.

Sometimes I add unnecessary commas, too. I never know where to put them. In Germany we have them everywhere!

Don't get me started on the people in my class! As stuck-up as I sound, my grades prove that I am the best in English out of the whole grade. Eventhough we've all learned English for ... 5 years now, some still make mistakes like "He don't" or mix up he & she (it's not THAT hard) or they speak the th so it sounds like a s or z and AAAARGH.
y u no speak english properly?

sorry.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ContagiousPixie In reply to NikolasBrummer [2011-07-17 21:34:28 +0000 UTC]

No it's not, I'm saying she is awful. It's great because English isn't even
your first language and yet you surpass her greatly!

Haha, it can be hard. For a few years I was adding them in randomly.
The art of commas is actually veerrry confusing the first time you learn it.
But, for example, in this sentence I have two commas because the words
inside the commas don't need to be there... they're "extra" information.
If you read the sentence without them it still makes sense, which is why
you cut them off (", for example,"). That's just one form though, another
would be to start on a new sort of topic in the middle of a sentence. Like
that one. Good god... this is actually kind of fun for me that can't be
good.

Lmao! It's alright. We're pretty much feeling the same then, except that
my classmates actually speak English but have terrible grammar and such
when writing, while your class... just can't speak it so well. haha it's
ok. I remember when French classes used to be mandatory me and this
other boy (who was my crush) were the best in class.

Oh I'm glad then!

Thank you, I guess I got it now. I often do those "Actually, I don't like it." so I guess they are right?
You should be a teacher.

It's frustrating indeed, when Donna was still in my class we two always got upset about it together.

Also, why do you always do like ... those breaks in your sentences?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ContagiousPixie In reply to NikolasBrummer [2011-07-19 01:13:30 +0000 UTC]

It almost seems like I should... but I know I wouldn't be happy
in that environment. Oddly enough my parents were kind of
"hinting" I should be a teacher the other night. And a year ago
my dad kept saying over and over "You should be a librarian. My
mom was one and she made good money. And you love reading."
Oh yeah, thanks for thinking I'll shoot high dad! :\

I used to have a horrible habit of that actually. It's to show
that I'm sort of trailing off on that thought. It's sort of hard to
explain. If you read it as if I was speaking there would be a
pause, and that's why I put it there. Because in my head I say
what I plan to type out as if I was speaking it.

Ex. "You know... I was thinking... we should definitely hang out
again sometime." See, if you use the "..." to indicate a pause it
seems like an actual person talking.

NikolasBrummer In reply to ContagiousPixie [2011-07-21 13:17:23 +0000 UTC]

Maybe he just meant it nicely.

No no, I mean something else. I always use ... myself because it's quite useful to show you are doing a pause.
But when you send me a message, it often looks like this:

Hello Nikolas yay your photos suck and we should
totally
have a photoshoot and yeah. Come to Canada so
we can
have fun. This text is totally random and don't take it any
personal.

You see what I mean?

There are some places around my town that have similar bread, but you have to search for it, and it’s often more expensive. Worth it though. But there’s not a lot of things better than fresh BrΓΆtchen from down the street in the morning.
