The thing that subject is just in center is though not considered great( if we see it according to Rule of thirds), but here it is proved that keeping the subjetct in center is totally right, you have framed it fabulously. Plus there is great use of spaces(water especially). This gives a real sense of curiosity to the viewer that what is gonna happen to him, and this is the real beauty of this picture. Plus a vintage tone is doubling the overwhelming feeling to it and the lining of the tree is rightly made. Hats off to the photgrapher.

Nikko, have they told you that you look like Jack Frost?
I imagine how wonderful you have been feeling while taking this one.I believe that you trully taste nature, and I can see in your expression the one I had as a little kid, when going to the forest.Keep up the good work, you little prince

I cannot get over how much I love this photo. I remember I first saw it when you posted it to your facebook, and I still feel that same awe that I felt then.

"I'm out on a limb, reaching for something I cannot get!" It may be both whimsical and sad at the same time. So many things point to this being interpreted as a person out on a limb which by the way is looking as if it could break off of the main tree at any given moment. So really this just says that there could be no way of getting at whatever he wants without falling in. Isn't that what we have to do sometimes? To achieve at something we want, don't we have to dive in with every part of our being?
I know, very deep. But hey, you inspired me with this photo.

Don't worry about how deep or how shallow anything might be. In a way it's merely up to whether it comes from our heart or not and that's most important. As for me, I enjoy the idea of that even if it unsettles me.

I like your response. I try to comment straight from the heart because I feel that's what we need when we post our images here on dA. I just know how I am when I do respond, I see things that can be more than what the person who posted the image had intended.
Great image though.

I feel like the moment his forefinger reaches the reflection, he'll be dragged full force into the icy depths- and that might not be such a bad thing. It would certainly make for an awfully grand adventure.
Your latest pieces have seemed very stark, very lonely- but oh, so very beautifully dark. Touched by madness, caught between falling and flying. I love them all.

Beautiful lighting!
It'd really suck if he fell in, that water's probably really cold...

You always go the extra kilometre to get an incredible shot. I find this a little scary this time of the year. If it was summer, not so much
