I find this to be one of your stronger photos. I can only draw my own conclusions as to the references which are associated here, at least to my eye.
Of all the body postures available for this shot you chose to opt for a crucifixion. the waves from the water further accentuate this making for a very striking image. Additionally, the duality of the image really intrigues me. Are you falling into the water or emerging from it? Rotating the photo takes away our assumption of gravity and opens things for a wider discussion. A really good move I think!
For the body, having visible a bit more could have been interesting. In this photo we don't know who is in demise. Beyond that a slight variance in the composition could have made for a stronger photo. We have one horizontal element, however beyond this the majority is vertical. The nearly monochromatic color use gives it a very raw feel which serves the photo well.
Overall, a really strong photo. It show's personal emotion while leaving room for the viewer to make his own associations. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

This is a very meaningful piece, with a (what I think is) a strong emotion/story behind it. I don't have much to say, the picture itself is worth a thousand words e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

The person seems as if instead of floating in the water, they are being engulfed by it. That is what really stood out out to me in the beautiful picture! How the layout makes it seem as if the person is being over-powered by the "water", or the situation they are in. This picture made personal connections with my life, and made me think. I love it. Beautiful, thought-provoking, and simply great.
This is my first review, so sorry if it's terrible! I just want to get the message across that I find the way you presented this piece amazing, and that it made me think.

Interesting how you did a 90degree turn on this for the display. It took me a moment to see what it was. Well done! Shown this way it looks like a watery curtain that is parting to let the body in, or out.
