But, not a couple. XD
Please to enjoy more ponies, of a slightly more animated nature! They took about 2 hours to complete altogether, because I'm rather slow. But, this was great practice in speed and having cleaner lineart!

Funny thing is I was just brainstorming this idea yesterday -- Rei as a unicorn, Asuka as a pegasus, and Shinji as an earth pony -- and it looks like you've had much the same idea (are the pilots that easy?) and have brought it to life beautifully. I'm curious about their flanks though, those lines look like the lines on their plugsuits, but the rest of their design doesn't feature any plugsuit's design feature. Care to explain?

So they're just placeholders then? Hmm . . . Well, actually, while I was thinking about the ponified pilots I actually came to the conclusion that save for Rei the pilots would not initially have cutie marks (Rei's would, of course, be some symbol of the apocalypse) when they first get their pony forms; Asuka and Shinji would be blank flanks. This would of course continue as the status quo until Asuka willingly puts herself in harm's way to selflessly save the lives of others, gaining herself a sword and shield cutie mark. (Let's face facts, that girl is going to be in the military forever, and she's going to love [nearly] every moment of it.) As for Shinji . . . well, I'll be honest, as much time as we spend with the dude's internal monologues and whatnot the closest I was able to get to a concept of how he gets his cutie mark is maybe playing at the Grand Galloping Gala and getting a music-related mark.
Anyway, that's the way I see the subject, what do you think?
