I am here to briefly go over the good, what could be added, and overall feeling of your work.
Good:
I have a quick question for you, did you use markers for this? They look alcohol based. It gives most of the coloring and even look and I like it. I love how vibrant the colors are and how clean your lifework is as well. Birds can be tricky to draw but I feel like you nailed many aspects of the bird you were going for. you have subtle feather details hear and their and the colors are segmented like that of the actual bird. I like how you used your black pen/marker to block out the shape of the beak and left some white exposed to indicate where the mouth opens and the light bouncing of the shiny beak. The colors you used are very vibrant and suite such a lovely bird as I now some of these hues.Β
Advice:
I don't have much to advice ,but I want to know if you used a reference picture for this or a bird in person. If you did or do that that will prove to be helpful ion the long run as it helps with accuracy and anatomy, especially if you are looking at the real thing. This is also very little but perhaps next time you could add a minimal background? It could help make the bird's feathering appear more vibrant than before if you get the right complimentary color.
Overall: I think this is lovely and is a welcome edition to anyone's bird favs. I hope this helps.
