Good thing God sent a life raft! We'd all drown otherwise! I think the author by sinful lifestyle means falling into sin and in ourselves to save us and of course failing, because we need Our sweet Lord. Like how one might have a trouble with not being mean to siblings, even though mom says to stop. They should ask God for help, to show mercy to the irritating children and respect to their mother. If not they are spending their time sinfully. Some goes for gossip, sloth, lying and cursing. We fall, all too often, but God forgives so don't harden your heart to Him and do not despair and hide, repent and go back to God, who loves you.
