I'm an atheist, I don't know what you actually mean by ''sinful lifestyle'', but for what it's worth I am very self conscious about avoiding hurting people.

I choose to keep fighting for my life because I know I will be rescued, so it’ll be worth it. My options are to live or to die and I choose life.

But what if their are sharks in the water? I'd drown myself rather than be torn to shreds. Then again, it'd be hard to drown myself. Plus sharks are cool. And I don't want seagulls pecking at my eyes when I'm dead and slowly decomposing. Although I think human bodies sink after they are dead. But I'd probably just get eaten by a shark anyways so it's just taking a short cut if I get eaten alive.
And plus, if you're lost at sea with no shore in sight your pretty much screwed no matter what you do. Say what you want, but in the face of certain death some options are better than others.

What if the person’s blind? What if the person's looking towards the wrong side and the shore is behind him/her? What if after the person chooses to drown a ship passes by? What if the person’s not in the sea? (..not sure why you concluded the stamp is talking about the sea) What if the shore is just a few minutes away and can be reached by swimming? What if help is on the way? What if… what if…What if…?
When we over analyze things we lose the focus… the stamp is not talking about sharks, seagulls, blind people, the stamps do not gives you the distance of the shore, it doesn’t even say we’re lost at the sea. It’s just an allegory talking about not conforming when we can get something better, just because we think there’s no hope.
So… following all those assumptions you made… you prefer to drown because you’re going to die anyway if sharks eat you? It would be the same as: I’m going to kill myself because one day I’m going to die.
The stamp is just saying: Be not conformed. Nothing more, nothing less.

I do what I feel is morally correct, not what any god tells me is morally correct. I will give my money to those who need it and my support to those who need a hand, but once again not because I feel any religious obligation. I am agnostic, not an atheist and I do lean more towards God but I also can't bring myself to believe in a god that would forsake my friends. I have friends of all religions, so if Christianity is correct, they are fucked.
I will do my best to be good and help, EVEN IF it means I have to 'sin' to do it, and if the christian god turns out to be correct and I die and face him, he will accept that, or I will forsake HIM and accept whatever may come from that.
