I think it's just a myth, probably created by some cartoonist, I really don't know. But, I drew it for just that reason! We were all pretty scared at the time and it represents the fear of another stroke. Maybe he's part plague rat too, like a bad omen. He's also there for a bit of comic relief :]

Thanks, it's getting there. My computer is still too slow to keep up with me, but it works well enough. 
I tried to make the face look a bit like my dad's, but . . . he's not an elephant. And his face just barely droops now.

Swirls... And patterns are tough for me digitally.... I have a little Wacom tablet.... Just never got use to it.... I could draw other things normally, but my patterns were stiff and undetailed. 
You had a few digital pieces that were pretty fluid though...

It's hard to get smooth lines with the tablet, that IV line took waaay too long . There must be a trick I've yet to figure out.
