...I've seen it beforeone of those titles I'm unsure about.
It's hard to tell what is working as a non-native speaker
Anyhow, I know some mistakes already,
but criticism and any other input is welcome as always

This is simply wonderful! I love the cross-hatching, the gray and white on red, and the overall surrealist tone. The attention to detail is stupendous, as is the excellent linework and shading. I also happen to like the title very much: it conveys a sense of both energy and futility, as exemplified by the rat running endlessly in the wheel. Overall, I find this would be a lovely cover piece for a collection of Kafka or Ligotti: it really is haunting. Absolutely first rate stuff, and I find that the color choice and overall composition really make it pop and stand out.

I'll have a look into Logottis work, as I've not known him before,
from Kafka I've read a few books.
That the color (and the lack of color in the character) seems to work
out is great to know, it's always somewhat of a gamble,
since color is very subjective.

Ligotti is tricky.Β I don't so much like him as just one or two things that he's written. A lot of his stuff is Lovecraft imitation, but some of it really stands out.Β IN particular, I recommend The Bungalow House.
more to the point, I recommend it on audiobook.Β It's written to be read aloud, I think.Β The best version is here:

Thanks, an audiobook version is worth a lot,
as at the moment I can't afford the time investment of reading through a book,
yet audiobooks work fine while drawing.

As far as the idea of "I know where I'm heading", I'm getting the impression of a one-track-mind. Incredibly focused. I dunno, I suppose you could say whether that's accurate or not.
The overall composition is very well done. It's a familiar shot of a bust, but you spice it up well with the style of anatomy, the crosshatching, and the strange addition of the mouse wheel.
Like other portraits of this type, the red background plays off of the black and white in a very striking manner.
The thing that really attracts me to this piece is the astounding level of information in the crosshatching. Your use of soft lights and soft/hard shadows really elevates the effectiveness of the crosshatching. The mixture between realistic anatomy and cartoonish proportions also really captures my attention.
Most of these notes also apply to the mouse.
Overall, this is a very attractive piece. Your style is very eye-catching and your technique is objectively sound.

As for the idea or "motivation" behind the drawing, while it deviates a bit from my original notion it matches the sentiment
and it is very insightful to how it is perceived.
As for the bust shot, I do agree, it is a very familiar one
and while I'm still content with my choice of his rather bland posturem, I could have made the angle and the framing more expressive.
