SO MUCH TO SAY!
- Willow did NOT use "the stare" on Crabapple. She does not and never will possess that particular ability. She used something else that will be more clear in the final comic
- This is the second longest comic I've made, but this one required some crazy angles, posing, and artistic ability that really pushed me. I know it's not perfect, but dang... I'm proud of what I've been able to do (especially in the painted parts).
- For those who've been asking: this comic took more than 60 hours, used 436 photoshop layers, 10 custom backgrounds, 154 different pony poses, and... whew. Lots of stuff.
- If you read my original series and the "Luna's Reports" series, you know that the elements inhabited the ponies themselves after their use. You can see each pony showing signs of their new abilities immediately afterwards. These will be explained in greater detail at a later time.
- For those who read the original four comics, didn't you ever wonder how Celestia got down from space with that broken wing? Now you know.
(also note that this comic was planned from that time, I just couldn't fit this all in so I made it it's own side-story.

btw, I was making another version of the elements before I stumbled onto yours (mine is 1000 years into the future). You're obviously a master at stories, do you have any advice on plot lines and mane 6 element + character descriptions

Like with your reports, but not as descriptive, just like past, cutie mark, which element they possess, powers gained/improved etc.

My theory is that the elements were extracted for the nightmare moon fight and returned to physical form. So the idea of power improvement wouldn't make sense in the same way. I also theorized that the current generation of ponies suffered several ill effects due to the element's strength and it was a good thing the refinement didn't continue for that reason. Look at Pinkie for example. She's barely functional in society. Everyone loves her and that's good, but if that element got any stronger, the pony holding it wouldn't even be able to communicate!
Although... that's an interesting thought. What if the pony of energy 1000 years in the future WAS energy? What if the element of "Truth" was a mystic/seer? The element of Selflessness wouldn't have any powers to speak of because of the element, but maybe they have strong magic or natural gifts that help them withstand the element of selflessness. Will could have developed to such a point that a non-magical pony developed the ability to use magic.
You'd have to find a way to return the elements to bloodlines in your backstory, but what do you think?

You are a master at stories, you'd do fantastic as an book author or film writer...
Anyway, that is extremely useful in what I'm using:
After another use of the elements, the Mane 6 absorb the elements into their true selves but years later must be extracted as of the discover of chaos if but one is in any sort of disharmony. All elements were extracted but the Mane 6 transferred into energy themselves, no one could communicate with them or locate their whereabouts.
If I add your idea, it could vastly improve but the only thing I can think of is when the elements give 5 ponies visions of the previous element bearers (the mane 6 excluding Twilight) and can communicate with each one for a minimal amount of time and that one of the 5 is able to resurrect the mane 6 but only as spiritual guardians of the element bearers.
Arrgh, I'll never be able to pull it off successfully I've only got a SMALL piece of story line, character designs but no names for them (so stupid) and nothing else

This page is just filled with too many feels. There are so many things in it that I love. The panel with Celestia and her mother and father, and the panels where Celestia falls and the pegasai go to her rescue are particular standouts.
