Hehehehe. Please don't hurt me. *ducks*This is for 's make-a-Titan-evil contest. Raven and Jericho get fed up with DC constantly changing their alliances and/or mental stability, so they decide "To hell with it!" and give in fully to their dark sides.
I've always wanted to draw bad@$$ Joey. Bwahaha. (I almost gave him facial hair, but then he looked too much like Slade...)I also reeeeaally wanted to draw their soul-selves (the lion and the raven--heh), but decided against trying to fit them into the image...
I realized with much dismay as I uploaded this that I really don't have any terribly romantic Joe/Rae pics in my gallery. (And now I have the sad realization that the only representation of Joe/Rae romance is this scary evil version.) NOooo! Happy Valentine's Day?
(Now that Joey is "sane" and has his eyes back again, apparently Raven is going to take a turn for the "worse" in the comicverse. What?! DC!!!! *pounds computer in aggravation*)

And I also want to add that DC Comics are not doing a good job at influencing their characters, especially the Titans...especially Raven! She's my favorite!
In Blackest Night, I haven't read it yet since I didn't went to the bookstore in a long time, has to do with emotions, right? But Raven isn't in it, from what I heard of, she's an empath! I find it quite sad, and it seems that DC Comics loves to put Raven in the Titans when she can go off on her own adventures.
As for Jericho, I hate the idea of him being crazy.
Hopefully, DC Comics will realize the mistake they had done and fix it or there will be an angry fan who will convert back to reading manga (I have no problems with manga, I still love it, but not as much as I did before.)

That was I was thinking when I had read the comics. I was like:
"If they keep going back and forth on each side, why not make them evil? Because it's obvious DC Comics wants to do that..."

Why is it so many of the comic canon couples get overlooked when they're so awesome?

It will be largely inspired by the 80s Joey and Raven. Their "new" personalities are very different (well, in Joey's case at least) from the originals, and seeing as the cartoon Titans are based off of their original Titan counterparts, I thought it was appropriate. Plus, I prefer the original 80s characters. Obviously.

Oh, awesome. @w@ I completely agree with you there. (I prefer the 80's version in just about anything involving the comics. XD; ) and the whole Raven/Joey idea works so much better with their 80's selves; their personalities just mesh so much more nicely...

So, so true... Raven's current "modern" personality would still mesh well with our lovely old version of Joey... but DC has just messed him up so badly recently. Poor fellow.

I'm so glad they got her out of Titans and back to a quieter personality; her attitude in their felt so abrasive to me, I have such fondness for her more laid-back self... Of course, we couldn't expect anyone to write her as well as Wolfman himself, and every writer naturally takes the characters' personalities under his or her own wing and adds their own essence, but making her so sarcastic and cruel was just... ugh. I sighed for her characterization every month while she was in Titans. :/
*nods sympathetically for him* He seems so unstable; I hope that someday they come up wit ha plot to fix him, at least partially; some way to help him...

I'm torn between wanting him DEAD so they don't mess him up anymore...and wanting him alive simply because he's Joey. And he's consequently made of awesome.

Lol... well, because I decided that (seeing as these characters have switched sides of their own accord) she's not under Trigon's influence. She's under her own evil influence. So I only made her original eyes glow red.

It is indeed sweet. In a twisted and creepy way, but still sweet nonetheless.
Seeing their soul-selves in there would've interesting, but also look a bit cluttered.
There's a small part of me that hopes that someone at DC will realize how uncreative and idiotic they are being with characters like the Titans and fix it somehow. Hey, it's bound to happen sooner or later.

I am so awfully behind in the comicverse. Dx I have no way to keep up at the moment because there is only one comic book store around and I just haven't been able to go. But I have been reading summaries about what happened and I must say that it must suck to be those two, whose personalities and mental states are constantly under attack.

I wonder if there are any collections out there...like full books with numerous issues in them. That would make my life easier. I guess I will go look later.

There are collections available of the more popular Titans series (like the Judas Contract). I own both the Terror of Trigon and the Judas Contract in a book format (the entire series of both respective plots) which I purchased from Borders for around $20. Likewise, the newer comics are available both in a bound paperback "book" format and in an individual comic form (I own both versions, but stopped buying them recently because I'm mad at DC. XD I just sit in the shop and read them...).

That aside, this is WONDERFULLY EVIL. Love the afterglow of Rae's red eyes, and the blood on Rae's and Jericho's hands...maybe both'r after bloodlust? Just kidding.
