Guardians of Tomorrow - Speedpaint
Originally inspired by images of people and whales underwater, appearing to
walk or swim upside down to the surface, I wanted to illustrate a moment of
comfort. I took the elements under one's surface literally to create a flipped world!
Where others may be scared off from being surrounded by sharks, manta rays
and whales, I depicted the girl to be moving in a relaxed manner to show that this
is a positive dream for her. In a moment of calm, this is *her* place of escape
guarded by these gentle underwater companions.
This piece took the longest for me to paint in a while! I found myself having
to think over design choices and colour a lot. I really wanted to make sure to take
my time and render the details with more care; with a lot of my works I find that I'm
pushing myself to get more done in a short time, to essentially rush the completion
of a piece. Going forward I hope to plan better, taking my time to make my works
convey these stories, details and ideas in a more fluid manner.

I haven't got the time to take a proper look at your newest works for a while, and I must admit I'm amazed by them!! I see a lot of improvement specially in the depthness of space that you can use now, and this is a very clear example of what I mean! It really gives the sensation not only of inmensity that you were always good to achieve, but also at how far away the horizon goes. Amazing work!

Such a stunning scene.
The colours are so lovely and fit with the theme perfectly. The creatures, the way they are depicted just gives off a soothing and wonderful sphere.

It's probably become a comfort zone for me to work with starry skies and absurdly blue scenes, but I'm certainly trying to add more depth and improve. And the improvement is really visible. The pier and the horizon give it depth. Also I just noticed, but the angle of this drawing is really interesting. The way everything is slightly tilted and the ray in the front gives the drawing a bit of 'movement'. I don't know how to describe it in English haha.

Breathtaking piece ! I really like the contrast between cold and warm colors here. Those flying animals and glowing lights also look surreal and add this work a magical feeling~
Also some lines here look pretty dynamic, like the shooting stars and the whales in the bakcground, and I love how the frame is inclinated somehow.
Seriously, this is amazing, dynamic and peaceful at the same time~
