What's found in the sky, what goes beyond; a departure from the ordinary.

Exploring the idea of leaving behind a comfort zone, taking that scary step out for a chance at discovering something new. And this is my take on @margot.zussy’s lovely DTIYS on IG! 💙

I painted their character Hedel small in this landscape— inspired by that mountainous backdrop, I wanted to emphasize the sheer size of what’s out there, thinking of how there’s so much to experience and learn outside of what’s familiar. As if imagining this little flying goat has left home for that reason too!

I guess this reflects a bit of thoughts at the back of my mind lately. I used to think I’d always want to stay in my hometown, but these days I feel a bit more open to considering somewhere else, living and experiencing someplace new, hmm…
