What a sweet surprise to come back to

Someday I'll awaken far from here.

To all the places of the past only found in a memory. From countless transient sunsets, birds passing by, and quiet moments enjoyed next to loved ones; many instances in time are unmistakable and easy to recall, even without a physical reminder.

I wanted to capture this feeling in a setting and palette a little more out of my comfort zone! These days, I tend towards cold, water-themed landscapes. Scenes with more grass/foliage are tricky to me- so seeing @papilionism ’s draw together challenge on IG was a great motivator in this case! It was lovely pushing to study meadows and fields. At the time, I also happened to be watching several series with gorgeous grassy background art, which inspired this process further

I really enjoyed this! I for sure would want to incorporate more elements like these in future work now~ lots to explore as always.
