Description
Cleanliness serves a practical purpose for any dragon. For example, prey will learn to fear a dragon's scent, and hunts can leave undesirable messes on a dragon's body, which can lead to even more undesirable scents; but, no prey animal has learned to fear the scent of fresh lake water! However, it can also serve a less practical and more enjoyable purpose as well. Bathing beneath a waterfall can provide a pleasant massaging sensation, particularly for the scaleless dragon. And, it can't be overstated how effective the water can be to clear dirt, twigs, and other unwanted bits from a dragon's mane, particularly those areas that are hard to groom without assistance such as the neck and back!

This is one of more elaborate illustrations I’ve ever done and I’m quite proud of it. I think I improved a lot while painting it. A lot of work and a lot of fun.
