Well, Javik is Prothean squadmate from ME3 DLC, don't tell me that you haven't played with him D: he's quite cool character

I haven't played ME3, I never will, I don't like the way the new writers for ME3 decided Protheans should look, and I purposely named my character the way I did because "Javik" sounds more like a Vorcha name than anything else.
I mean no offence and you're entitled to your own opinion. I just can't anything that ugly, or with such a goofy accent, seriously.

I mostly think it's a big logic hole that they decided Protheans look like Collectors.

Collectors are Protheans which Reapers harvested in the previous cycle and then altered them for their purposes, like they do with all races, makes perfect sense to me.

But then the first time Shepard didn't see a Collector, why didn't s/he immediately recognise it as a Prothean? The Cipher should have enabled that. And experts on Prothean archaeology, like Liara, didn't recognise Collectors either (or even realise the squadmate in ME3 was a Prothean until it was beaten into her head). That's the part that makes no sense.

They weren't aware that Reapers are genetically altering other civilizations (they knew that they are doing something, but they didn't know what exactly), and even Protheans left many information beacons, in this cycle very few can understand them because they share information by touch and not by writings or artwork. I think that you should give game a chance, many things become clear in this last part and it shows whole story in different light. I think it is really well rounded up story and I doubt that you'll regret playing last part, think about it, you can't lose anything and you can be pleasantly surprised.

Maybe one day you'll borrow it for someone or get it in some other way, but until that time you shouldn't be
angry at Bioware and Protheans, it's not perfect game, they could definitely spend more time on details, but it is great nevertheless.
