What a wonderful interpretation of a kelpie! We have a version of this myth in Sweden called bΓ€ckahΓ€st (translated to brook horse) and large patches of seaweed or algae is believed to be its mane. Honestly a ceramic-version of the horse I'd easily pay money for if I can plant my own leaves in its back.
