This is really lovely! The soft texture and tiny details are so nice to look at. I especially like the green dots of foliage, and as someone previously said- I almost didn't see the dragon at first, even though the purple is so distinct from the greens and browns dominating here! I think this would make a great puzzle... I'm sure your commissioner is pleased!
