I see this tree almost every time I go on a walk (It's not far from my house), and I absolutely love the aged look of it.I don't know the significance of the cross that's hung on it, but as the tree is next to a road - and more specifically; next to a fairly sharp turn - it's no stretch of the imagination to assume that it's probably a marker for a fatal accident that happened there who knows how long ago. Maybe one of these day's I'll actually ask and find out for sure.
