FINALLY!!! My last oc for 's contest.
It's kinda sloppy because I rushed ^-^...

Personallity: Yun is very laid back, easy going, he loves Jinx and her brother, he also loves working with his hands, getting dirty, and watching sunsets. Yun hates that Jinx is detroying herself and other peoples lives to save him, he also hates spiders, and he hates being in water (he has a fear of water).

Background: Before Yun was born, his father left his mother in a fit of rage and left her alone to take care of the three children they already had. Eight months into the pregnancy, Yun's mom and his three siblings fled from the Fire Nation to the safety of the Northern Earth Kingdom, it was here that Yun was born.

For most of his life, Yun, his mother, and two brother's and sister travled along a large caravan of gypsys. They taught Yun and his siblings about how fast life goes by and how they shouldn't waist it being angry and bitter. One gypsy, an mid-aged man named Kurai, taught Yun how to work with his hands and how to use his bending to the fullest. The two became very close and Yun thought Kurai as his father figure. And it was this same gypsy that saved Yun's life just a few months later.

When Yun was seven, while passing by a rather wide river, he tripped and fell into the raging water. Unable to swim, Yun was dragged to the bottom and thrashed around. Half-dead and drowning, Yun could hear the sound of screams above the waters surface, it was the last thing heard before losing consciousness. The young boy was surprised to awake a few hours later. Turned out that Kurai had jumped in after him and was able to pull him out before he drowned. After that, Kurai and Yun were inseperable. They did everything together and were just alike.

But when Yun reached fourteen years of age, his caravan was suddenly attacked by rougue Fire Navy soldiers. With the carts and tents burning, Yun ran, desperately trying to escape the flames. But he was soon cornered by a large, brute of a soldier, who raised his spear to strike Yun through the heart. But as the fatal blow came down, Kurai blocked Yun, the spear piercing his chest instead. It was then the soldiers abruptly began to retreat, leaving only burning ashes behind them. Kurai died with Yun by his side that night. But to only make matters worse, his mother and all his siblings were missing as well.

But Yun remembered what Kurai had taught him about anger and bitterness. He did not plot, plan, or think of revenge, but he vowed to protect the weak, from the fierce and unjust. When Yun turned fifthteen, he left the caravan to find his own path destiny had given him. This path led him to an old, dirt town of Kir Ling, where an old man called Dei "Cookie" the Black Smith, took Yun in as his apprentice. Dei "Cookie" loved Yun's easy attitude and optimistic ways, quite nature, and kind heart. Yun helped his old friend in any way he could and they went on many walks together. And it was three years later while on one of these walks that Yun's life changed forever.

While strolling through the market place, Yun heard a sudden roar of screaming and mourning coming from a large crowd. Yun rushed to see what happening, and to his horror saw a young boy being held by three large Earth Kingdom guards and on the ground in front of them was a weeping youn lady, begging the soldiers to let her brother go. When they refused, the girl screamed and weeped even harder.

Yun felt his heart crumble with sympathy for the two siblings. Without hesitation, he called from the crowd, saying he would pay for whatever damage the boy had caused. Of the people and the siblings were shocked. Why would this man just save a complete strangers life. His answer: Because it was the right thing to do.

After paying the boy's debt, Yun talked with the young lady who had been begging to the guards. He learned the her name was Nydia or "Jinx" (as she was popularly called) and that she to had come from the Fire Nation with her family. As Jinx told her and brother's (whose name was Kol) story, Yun couldn't believe how such a lovely girl could have such a tragic past. He and Jinx became very close friends and soon began to date.

One year later Yun decided he would marry Jinx and made her a betrothal necklace. But of course he asked Kol for his premishion first, not wanting him to think he was stealing his sister. Kol of course said yes. Yun preposed to Jinx on beach just as the sun began to set.

But just a few nights later, the town of Kir Ling was raided of rogue Fire Navy soldiers. The same soldiers that had attacked Yun as a child. Not wanting a repeat of history, Yun used every once of power he had to protect Jinx and Kol, but in the confusion they were seperated, Jinx's home was destroyed, and Kol had been taken.

A year after the incident, Yun watched as anger and insanity began to fill Jinx's heart, her brother was the only true family she had and now he was gone. Yun tried his best to help her, but Jinx's depresion just deepend. He reminded her that they would be married soon and promised that they would both search for Kol until he was found. This lightend Jinx'x mood and she began to be her oldself again. But unfortunately, while working with Cookie, Yun began to feel ill and sick to his stomach. Staggering, Yun walked into the back room of the black smiths, where he and Jinx lived, and collapsed.

As it turned out, the coal and fire Yun had been working with, had poisoned him. He now sleeps most of the time and has difficulty breathing. The poison has only one cure, but it is very difficult to find, and if not administered, the patient could die. Yun is aware of what is fiance is doing to save him. For nearly a year he has been able to survive his illness, but his time is running short.

Special info: Jinx calls Yun "Soot" because he's constantly dirty.
