It's the red hand that is getting to me - and brings up thoughts from ancient aboriginal art that was a proclamation that "I AM HERE" to over - watching television like "Dexter" and "CSI"
And agree with you, there is a need to escape, no matter how bad, or how good the circumstances... One may cause actual physical pain, the other mind numbing complacency.

heh it's funny you mention Dexter because I find a lot of emotional inspiration from that show. Just the whole idea of being unable to express the truth in the normal human way with words. Although painting is a lot less violent way of expressing those feelings than serial killing heh, although the canvas does get a good beating.
