Your idea actually makes a lot of sense if you think about it. The initial assumption would be that Vanellope Von Schweetz would not be classified as a glitch anymore. However, as exemplified by your comic, that might not necessarily be the case if you look at the big picture; glitches are errors to the game in general, so you would be fixing the game by removing the error 
Even though the comic is an unintentional morbid alternative, it could have happened regardless. The movie would probably not be as effective, but my statement still stands.
