OH sigh i was doing this with the hopes that I could get back into the swing of things! I decided i'd try to make a character since i like never do that so here's a thing

Her boobs are too low and I messed up her legs, I know! I'm gonna share some information about her I guess because it makes me feel better.

AHEM SO HERE WE GO

This is Red Velvet. She started out as a progression of an old idea I never touched except for like once.

To keep things short, design-wise and character-wise she is a HEAVILY RETOOLED version of this guy fav.me/d6oqntf but completely different aside from extremely tiny design similarities.

I juggled several different names around for the character, one of them was "Ricecake". Yes. I'm eventually going to make a character named Ricecake though.
But then I settled on "Red Velvet" (as in red velvet cake, my favorite!) and gave her a loosely appropriate color scheme to match!

Red Velvet (or Red, for short, yes, not Velvet, but Red!) is a summoner mage! TRAINED WITH THE BEST AND IS READY FOR THE REST

She does summoner mage-y stuff. Naturally I wanted her outfit be kind of loose looking, but not typically mage-y? It's not really traditionally robe-y, since she summons stuff I kind of want it to look a little fitting to her form because she moves around a lot. Basically something kinda flowy? There's a weird wave/spiral pattern/motif on her outfit to kind of add to the "flowiness" that I wanted to give off. Red's a bit of a klutz. Like, a real klutz. She breaks everything. She's also pretty damn irresponsible when it comes to personal duties. Expect her to use her precious summoning knowledge for extremely mundane tasks like free lemonade. The spiral pin in her hair is kind of meant to be a really lax, fun detail in her design, compared to something blatantly cute like a bow or something for a more serious character like say, a skull hairpin. The spiral hairpin is sort of a goofy lookin' thing but it's meant to represent her goofy, klutzy tendencies and lackadaisical attitude. She's really introverted in general though, especially around random people, but gets irritated surprisingly easily. Why's she so introverted? Maybe it has to do with how often she trips over her own feet? Who knows!

I'm somewhat pleased with the result (though design-wise I think she looks a little too ambiguous for my liking) so I'd like to draw characters like this more, it'd be fun to really get back in the swing of things. This is really just me trying to pick myself back up so totally disregard if you want!
