Description I discovered a lot of things on my own that Trackdancer 's UV Plugin tutorials don't cover, so I went and made my own. The object whose mapping/texture is displayed is my Gradivus (fav.me/d8qm4pf ). I use PMD Editor v1.39 (apparently a very old one XD) and UV Plugin 1.39-10-2.

This ought to be a pretty straightforward read. A through E are the main categories that I break down in the left text box, and useful tips I've discovered appear below. I've filled in all the text fields with the information you'll put in there when you use those functions (ie the x/y in Slide/Scale/Rotate). Listed items go in left to right or top to bottom order. One thing I didn't say is that the groups for UV Morph-making appear in the same order as they do in the Morphs tab and in MMD, though I don't know what the first option (with parentheses) means.

For older, more visual, but less comprehensive tutorials, see Trackdancer'sΒ fav.me/d6icvah andΒ fav.me/d7j98q1 .
For the UV Plugin download link and installation guide, click that first link.

Is there a way to copy UV changes to identical meshes?? I have two identical faces using the same blush texture but only one of the faces has working morphs. I'd like to copy the UV changes (I had to adjust the blush) from the broken morph face to the working face since they're the same mesh. Is that possible or will I have to adjust the UV mapping all over again?

I'd love to know how to copy UV mapping to different models/materials myself. I don't know of any waits to do that, even in Meta or Blender, short of exporting the UV map in Meta and manually replicating the map. You could try asking the person on DA who translated the plugin based on this guide?

Sorry! If you ever figure it out, please tell me!

I have been working to convert this to English and fix some bad behavior for some days now..

still several problems to resolve..

update: first working version:

Awesome, an English translation! This'll really help out newer Western MMDers.

Out of curiosity, why show me this? Is it because I happen to have a UV Plugin Guide (aka most relevant dev), or did you use my trial-and-error translation to improve, say, a Google translation?

It's the one I stumbled upon first several months ago while delving into PMX editing, and yes for translation reasons. I will likely be sending out similar messages to everyone I can, once I have the recompiled program working at least as well as its Japanese original (which looks to be very soon as I just did a fresh refactor of the code and it appears to have fixed several problems)

I see! Excellent work so far; I hope your program compiling goes well!

So, i put a texture on a face, and its wonky as balls. I open uv plugin to fix it, after an hour I notice the other side of the face hasnt changed, and completely fucking die inside.
Is there any way to mirror it, per se?

Nintendraw In reply to Rocky-Roo [2017-02-05 04:40:00 +0000 UTC]

I don't know how to mirror the UV map from the plugin... but assuming you're working with a face, maybe you could duplicate the material?

I saw a thing in one of the dropdowns that had "copy uv" but no paste :S
Thats probably going to end up being the plan ngl. Thank you though!!

MetroidMan64 [2017-01-22 21:02:15 +0000 UTC]

Do you know the way of reseting the UV maps to it's default position incase I make some mistakes and want to start over from the beginning?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Nintendraw In reply to MetroidMan64 [2017-01-22 21:25:16 +0000 UTC]

I believe you can just not Apply the position change (don't hit the last button in my "panel B"); then, refreshing (the button above it) should reset the net. Or if you already applied the UV map, you ought to be able to Undo (Ctrl+Z) on the main or View window, and then the UV map will reset to whatever it was before.

do ypu know how to export the uv?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Nintendraw In reply to syntheticshield [2016-04-25 23:02:42 +0000 UTC]

Export the UV, as in the UV map, where all the points on my pic appear? The main way I do it is capture screen (PrtScr or Snipping Tool on Windows).
